Brsk Broadband Review
If you’re searching for high-speed, reliable internet, particularly in areas like Lancashire, Brsk Broadband is a game-changer.
After using Brsk for 2-3 years, I can say it’s easily the best ISP I’ve experienced. I rely heavily on stable, fast internet for my daily work in technology, and Brsk has delivered.
Packages and Prices:
Speed That Exceeds Expectations
We’re on Brsk’s 900 Mbps package, and the speeds are outstanding. Continuous speed tests regularly confirm the advertised speeds, with our connection often hitting or even exceeding 900 Mbps. This performance is a major improvement over any other provider I’ve tried. Brsk’s symmetrical speeds—meaning both download and upload speeds are the same—are rare and especially valuable for those who upload a lot of data. This isn’t something you often find in consumer ISPs, and it’s a huge plus if you need reliable upload speeds for work or gaming.
For those with even greater bandwidth needs, Brsk recently rolled out a 2 Gbps package. While this is overkill for me, it’s an excellent option for power users who need top-tier speeds.
Reasonable Pricing with Transparent Options
Brsk’s 900 Mbps package comes in at around £30 per month, which is very reasonable for the quality. They also offer a static IP for an extra £5 per month, which is a worthwhile upgrade for anyone running a home server or needing more control over their network. By default, Brsk uses CGNAT (Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation), which means customers share a public IP address. While this doesn’t affect most everyday internet activities, it can limit some applications, like server hosting. If you need a unique public IP, the static IP option bypasses this limitation, keeping everything seamless and straightforward.
Stellar Support and Installation Service
One of Brsk’s standout features has been their excellent support. When I first inquired about service, I discovered that my new-build home wasn’t yet covered. But after a few calls to the support and deployment team, Brsk arranged the installation quickly and professionally. Since then, I’ve had zero outages, aside from a brief network drop when testing a third-party router (unrelated to Brsk’s hardware- highlighted in the above image). Their commitment to helping new customers get connected is impressive, and it made the switch to Brsk effortless.
Small Drawback: New Deals May Not Apply Mid-Contract
One minor downside is that Brsk occasionally offers new deals that are better than the terms in my current contract. I’m unsure if they allow mid-contract renewals to take advantage of these promotions, so it’s something to keep in mind if you’re hoping for flexibility. That said, I’m confident they’ll have a competitive offer by the time my contract ends, so it’s a minor issue in the big picture.
Why Brsk Is Worth It
Brsk’s combination of high-speed, reliable internet, strong customer support, and symmetrical speeds makes it a top choice for anyone in Lancashire, especially in Accrington and Great Harwood. Their 900 Mbps package has been flawless for us, and they’re continually improving with new options like the 2 Gbps package.
