It also provides centralized management for UniFi network devices, security policies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), all of which contribute to processing overhead that may affect throughput.

However, following extensive testing and feedback, UniFi has released a firmware upgrade that resolves this throughput issue, enhancing performance to better align with the device’s rated capabilities. The update optimizes processing efficiency for core tasks, resulting in improved client-side speeds while maintaining the UCG-Ultra’s broad functionality.
